Individualized Reassessment
The second step is to determine if there has been an IQ assessment within the last two years. If there has not been an IQ assessment within the last two calendar years, the student will move on to individualized assessment. If the student has been given an IQ assessment within the last two years, please refer to this table to determine when they will be eligible for individualized assessment.
IQ (Cognitive Ability) Reassessment Schedule
- Students can be given an IQ assessment twice throughout their time in Rockwood (the WISC-V is the only IQ assessment that Rockwood administers for grades 1-12).
- There is a minimum of two years between each WISC-V administration.
- This table outlines the earliest date that a student can be reassessed for IQ after being given a WISC-V (WPPSI-IV for Kindergarten assessment).

Please note:
- Students that have taken the WISC-V twice will not be eligible to be reevaluated for the Rockwood Gifted Program.
- Kindergarten assessment is not included in the two IQ assessment limit, however, students are not eligible for reassessment until the start of their 2nd grade year.
