Report Card Information
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The CCL wanted to explain how our report card system is designed to reflect your child’s progress in the gifted program, specifically focusing on the Missouri Gifted Learner Outcomes (MO-GLO). Our curriculum is structured so that each main unit assesses students in at least two grade-level MO-GLOs over the course of a semester. This approach ensures a broad assessment of their academic growth and abilities in key areas.
If you're familiar with Standards-Based Grading from the Rockwood Elementary School report card, you'll notice a similar format in our MO-GLO assessment. Each unit’s outcomes are clearly outlined, allowing you to see the specific areas where your child is excelling and areas where growth is encouraged.
Our specialists also contribute to the report card. Depending on the subject, they may assess MO-GLOs relevant to their area or provide a narrative summary of your child's progress.
Additionally, we assess Gifted Academic Mindsets to provide insight into how your child approaches learning. These mindsets are scored as:
- Area for Growth
- Making Progress
- Strengths
This part of the report card helps us communicate not just what your child is learning, but how they are developing essential skills like persistence, curiosity, and independence.
The report cards are shared through Infinite Campus at the end of each semester, so you can view your child's progress online.
Thank you for your continued support in your child’s education. If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to reach out to Dr. Husch or your child’s teacher.
